BELL ENGRAVING

Cutting Edge is the only company local to Fort Lauderdale that specializes in ship’s bell engraving, and we have been engraving ship’s bells for over two decades.

We can engrave “blank” bells, or we can remove existing engraving and re-engrave with the new name. As part of this service, we also offer chrome plating of brass bells or re-polishing of stainless bells to like-new condition.

VINYL LETTERING

We offer both removal and installation services for vinyl lettering on a wide variety of marine applications such as tender and life ring lettering.

It is important to know when replacing vinyl, that depending upon the sun exposure and amount of time the existing lettering has been on, generally you will have “ghosting.” This is when the sun has faded the paint, but the area the vinyl-covered remains un-faded causing discoloration. Normally a simple polish and wax will help. However, in some cases, the hull may need to be repainted. Cutting Edge does not provide painting or waxing services when replacing vinyl lettering.

NO-BOARDING SIGNS

We manufacture several high-quality options for “Private Yacht, No Boarding” signs. Materials range from 316L Stainless Steel, Anodized Aluminum, Starboard, Acrylic, Engraving Stock, and Teakwood. Deep Engraving, paint-fill, and vinyl application options are available.

Engraving Stock Placards

Engraving Stock is a great material for all sorts of labeling projects. It’s a great choice for a more economical budget. It comes in a standard thickness of 1/16” and has good UV properties, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Stainless Plaques

Stainless steel is a superior material for high-quality labeling projects. We provide 3 finish options, polished, brushed, and sanded, and also offer paint-filled lettering. These plaques come in a standard thickness of 1/16″, are deep engraved, and are made to withstand harsh marine environments.

HIN PLATES

(AVAILABLE IN THE MARINE SHOP)

Cutting Edge manufactures Hull ID plates for any size vessel in a vast array of styles. Size will depend on the country of the vessel registration. Sizes range from 0.5″ x 4″ to 4″x48″. Check your paperwork for size requirements & let our team know.

From Design to Delivery we fabricate dash and electrical panels in all shapes, sizes, and materials. Please email photos, drawings, or even just the basic measurements to get a quote started for you.

LASER CUT HYPALON

Hypalon Tenders can be tricky to label, which is why we partner with several inflatable shops in Fort Lauderdale to offer custom-cut Hypalon names for your tender.
